This document certifies that a security guard, private escort or rural warden is licensed by Spain’s Ministry of the Interior. What the TIP is
The TIP is issued by the Dirección General de la Policía (National Police Directorate). It is personal and non-transferable: it carries the holder’s photograph and details, and must be carried during service. Authorities can request it at any time.

- Rural warden (specific licensing)
It is not a company badge or a private course certificate: it is the State’s official authorisation.

Requirements to obtain the TIP
To obtain the security guard TIP, in summary, an applicant needs:
- To be of legal age and hold Spanish or EU nationality (per current regulations).
- To have no criminal record.
- To pass training courses officially recognised by the Ministry of the Interior.
- To pass the theoretical and physical exams held by the National Police.
Afterwards, the professional must keep the TIP valid (renewing it when required) and carry it while on duty. The official framework for training courses or renewal is set by the Ministry of the Interior; security companies do not replace that official licensing.

Can I renew the TIP at any academy?
Renewal and paperwork follow the official channel (Ministry of the Interior / National Police). Academies provide training; the licence itself is granted by the Administration.
